Project Goal:
To provide a thorough, user-friendly web site that acts as a single source of truth for all the tools, resources, and information that incoming college freshman need. Reducing student stress, expediting the orientation procedure, and guaranteeing a seamless transition into their first year were the main goals.
Tools & Technologies Used:
HTML5 (for structuring content); CSS3 (for styling, layout, and responsiveness); PHP (for dynamic content generation, form processing, and backend logic).
Overview:
As part of this project, a digital hub that serves as a one-stop shop for all the essential resources and information required for a successful start was created for new university students. My contribution was to create a dynamic and user-friendly platform that streamlines the frequently difficult orientation process and makes important information simple for freshmen to access and understand.
Key Features & My Contributions:
Centralized Information Hub: To ensure that students could easily find what they wanted, a well-structured information architecture was designed to compile all relevant materials, including academic resources, registration guides, campus maps, and event calendars.
User-Friendly Design: emphasized a very clear and simple interface, reducing complicated information to a layout that is simple to use. To save new students from feeling overloaded, this includes logical material categorization, simple labeling, and a simplified search tool.
Mobile Responsiveness: Made sure the website was completely functional and optimized for PCs, tablets, and smartphones so that students could access vital information at any time and from any location.
Feedback Mechanism Integration: Created a transparent channel for student input, showcasing the university's dedication to ongoing development and guaranteeing that the portal adapts to user requirements.
Areas of Focus & Particular Contributions:
Admin Login: Developed a safe and user-friendly interface to let university administrators effectively manage user data, events, and content.
Event Management: Created the user interface for viewing, signing up for, and overseeing orientation activities, making sure that students got the required information and a clear schedule.
Admin Home Page: To streamline administrators' workload, a dashboard was created that gave them instant access to important analytics and management tools.
